How to Process Your Triggers

This morning, I went live on my private fb group and gave some tools to use this coming week to help navigate through upsets and triggers.
The gist of the message will be summarized on this blog so I can leave you these helpful tools as well, but if you want to tune into the juicy conversation, join the group!
**For this practice, you must be in an environment where you will not be disturbed. If you get triggered in a place where you cannot process immediately, just save this practice until you create the space for it.
✨✨✨
When you are triggered or feel upset in any way, I ask that you get curious.
Ask yourself, What am I really upset about?
and list out all the reasons why you're upset.
I gave an easy and simple example in my live.
My husband didn't wash the dishes.
Okay, but what are you really upset about?
I'm upset that he didn't wash the dishes
I'm upset that he didn't even bother to help
I'm upset that he actually never helps around the house
I'm upset that he just comes home and sits on the couch
I'm upset that he doesn't care about me
I'm upset because etc, etc,etc.
List ALL THE REASONS> Even if it doesn't make sense, just spew it all out, feel it, and let it be voiced or written down.
Now, when I say voiced, I don't mean call a homegirl and talk to her about your upset. I mean, maybe voice record it, video record it, speak it out loud with no recording, or simply write it down in your journal. This practice is intended for you to speak to yourself, just you and God.
So once you've written all the reasons why, you'll know when you're complete because you will feel a shift in your body. You may even feel a big nudge to lean in closer to one of the things you wrote down.
For example: "I'm upset he doesn't care about me"
This one is a juicy one. I felt it in my body a few years back when I processed a similar upset.
Then you can ask yourself, Is this true?
99% of the time you will know damn well its not.
But, if for any reason you say yes. You can then ask yourself the next question.
What does this remind me of?
Your consciousness will reveal a mental picture of what it reminds you of and then you will know the root. However, this practice is a deeper practice so if you're not ready to go there, don't worry about it. Simply continue your process.
No lastly, ask yourself, more so, ask your inner child, What do you need right now?
Speak to her. Say whatever you desire to say to her. You may hear her respond, you may not, and both are perfect. Just continue speaking and continue moving your energy through your body to release what's there.
I have continued this practice up to this day as it has been a wonderful tool for me. I trust it will be for you as well.
Remember, everything is feedback. So every trigger, every emotion is guiding you to your truth.
Get curious about it, and dive within.
After my processes, I always close out with a prayer of gratitude for all of life and its wonders. You may use the prayer example in your own practice or make up your own!
"Thank you. Thank you, thank you for what's been revealed. Thank you for my heart, thank you for my curiosity, thank you for my triggers that draw me closer and closer to my true self. I am grateful for the tools I've learned to unpack, unravel, and let go of what no longer serves me. I declare clarity, I declare love, I declare healing happening right now through me, in me, and around me. I know I am perfect, I know I am love, and I return to that sacred Truth. I let go of my words, knowing I am complete and whole, One with the Divine Mind, One with God, and so it is! Aho ✨
